What is Therapeutic Recreation? It is a treatment service designed to restore motor, social and cognitive functioning, build confidence, develop coping skills, and integrate skills learned in treatment settings to remediate and rehabilitate a person’s level of functioning and independence in life activities and promote Health and Wellness.
Evidence suggests that diet and exercise interventions alone are not effective in adopting a lifelong healthy lifestyle and preventing future weight gain. Recreation Therapy recognizes that there are many factors that may influence Weight Gain and Obesity such as, Ethnicity, Social Pressures, Culture, Financial Well Being, Lifestyle Factors and more… Being overweight or obese can cause health, psychological and social problems that consequently aggravate the condition even further making it even more difficult to adopt Healthier New Habits.

- INSANITY – A revolutionary cardio-based total-body conditioning program based on the principle of MAX Interval Training. All you need is the desire to Dig Deep and push past your limits. Shaun T’s INSANITY is not your typical interval workout! You’ll do Cardio and Plyometric Drills with intervals of Strength, Power, Resistance, and Core Training. It all happens in long bursts of Maximum Intensity exercises with short periods of rest so you can burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour. INSANITY FITNESS TEST Included In Program.
- TRX® WORKOUT – The TRX Suspension Training is a workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. The TRX Suspension Training delivers a fast, effective Total Body workout to help build a Rock Solid Core and increases Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance.
- ZUMBA – When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students. Anyone CAN DO IT!!!! LOSE YOURSELF IN THE MUSIC & PARTY YOURSELF INTO SHAPE!!! Private classes are also available for individual and group sessions and special events.
- BOOT CAMP / HIIT– These type of exercise classes mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. While there are a variety of styles of fitness boot camps, most are designed in a way that pushes the participants harder than they’d push themselves and, in that way, resemble a military boot camp. These fitness classes have grown in popularity over the years primarily because they offer a new way to get an efficient and challenging workout.
